Colonial Acres

Oakwood Manor Townhouses is requesting a speed hump around 866 Colonial Road. The road ends at 4785 Park and cars continue to speed and hit this townhouse. It has been hit twice this year alone. It has been hit several times previously. This is an ongoing issue that needs to be address. The homeowners lives are at risk.

Send this request to City Engineering department, not MLGW. A turn signal light is needed at Willow & Perkins Road. Trying to turn South on to Perkins takes 3 to four lights cycles. Also trying to turn West on to Willow from Perkins causes traffic back ups and long turning wait times too. Quince and Perkins needs a turn signal too.

Please.please.consider speed control traffic. The school on Colonial has so many cars turning off Mendenhall and speeding down Sea Isle. There is about twenty minutes a day twice a day the cars are non stop and driving like it's a main road, just speeding.

Residents can't pull out of driveways and the cars are speeding in lines one behind the other.

Ever since we had the Kaye road repaved,our vehicles have been scraping the bodies going in and out of the driveway,I have lived here for 48 years and never had this problem until the recent repaving.it seems that the center of the street continues to get higher with each repaving,while the curb area remains lower,thus creating a valley that is deeper than the average vehicle can transit! Please help me with a solution or recommendation. Thank you for your time,

Open hole of some kind with a baracade above. This is right in the middle of the road (well slightly to the east) so it's very difficult for northbound cars to drive past without getting over on the other side of the road. I put in a request a week or te ago that was acknowledged and closed, but no action was actually taken to fix the issue

Please reference ID 5375081. This request has been going on since February. This is absolutely ridiculous. There is a large area in the road that is not paved. I have had multiple city of Memphis employees come out to look at this and make excuses. Seems to be pretty typical of the city of Memphis. Would love it for someone to call me and give me a real plan of action about this.

The road caved in and fills with water when it rains, eroding away more and more. A neighbor's front end of their truck fell in 2 days ago.

We have had many young families with children move onto the street and cars use our street as a pass through instead of using White Station or Mt. Moriah. Cars speed down the road, and I’m afraid a child will get hit when riding their bikes or playing. Several of the neighbors agrees. We would like two three bumps between Helene and Quince. Today we had 7 children playing outside all day and several times cars had to stop suddenly not to hit them. Please think of all the young families and honor our request! Thank you.

In the driving area of the street at 943 Fair Meadow Road 38117, a sewer line was dug up. The street was torn up and when it was filled in, a very poor job was done. The concrete used to fill the hole in the street protrudes several inches above the paved surface of the street. It is a large area of approximately 5 feet by 2 feet. It is difficult to see, especially at night. It is a tripping hazard for pedestrians and is rough enough to damage a vehicle or puncture a tire. This situation has persisted for approximately two months and I would very much appreciate it if the city could repair it properly.
