Drivers going west on Park Rd routinely run the red right-turn arrow to turn right onto Park. They seem to think the green light for going straight onto Klingle applies to them, not noticing the red right-turn arrow. It is dangerous for pedestrians crossing Park on the north side. Could we get improved signage or some traffic-calming measure here?

The pedestrian signals at this corner have been terrible ever since 14th st. was redone. People almost NEVER obey the pedestrian signals because there is often a "no walk" signal when it would be fine to cross. For example, there is a no walk signal when you are trying to go east/west across 14th at Kenyon even when the only cars with a green light are coming west on Park, where they are forced to make a right turn and head north on park. Pedestrians should be able to cross. Additionally, when the light for north/south traffic on 14th is green the pedestrian signal to cross over Kenyon street is "no walk" for the majority of the time, even though that is one way traffic. It doesn't make sense at all and pedestrians have quickly figured that out. No one trusts the signals and so they go whenever they want. I've seen people almost get hit or hold up traffic on multiple occasions. These signals need to be revised!

employees of the Stoddard Nursing routinely secure 2week visitor passes illegally from MPD in order to park for free, without fear of ticketing on this zoned block:

1) white mini van - VA plates, KJF4308, has had the largest number of 2-wk visitor passes (for at least 8 months) and parks each day.


2) Sedan, 4 door, Maryland plate - 25994C - and displays STODDARD TAG 0071

3) late model large sedan, light brown, DC plate BF9058 - also bears a pink Stoddard visitor tag.

The Columbia Heights Plaza has about 3-4 vagrants living there 24 x 7! A couple of these gentlemen are long-term fellows know to the police. They are intoxicated, We need a sustainable solution for them--and residents!

Holy wow Mount Pleasant has gotten bad. Enforcement of proper trash removal and LANDSCAPING OVERGROWTH in alleys are the BIGGEST issues. Take a walk down the South side alley of Ingleside terrace and have a looksie. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes. Many of the houses that are on the North side of Newton(which also backs to this alley are these group houses(god bless them-I used to live in one myself) and people who apparently grew up in places where you just toss the bag outside without a container. These folks need an education. HELP!!!!

The garage in the rear of this home has not been visited by the owner in years. Not only is it a magnet for trash and dumping, it houses the majority of our rampant alley rat population. It needs to be excessively baited and cleared-out. I am asking DPW & DOH to get involved and cite the owner - Jim Middleton - until the problem is resolved.

There are a MIILLION mosquitos and other swarms of insects everywhere throughout Meridian Hill Park. Every grassy area has them. You can't walk through the park without walking in a cloud of insects. There are too many untreated stagnant pools of water as well that are fertile breeding grounds for them. Pls ask the Park and Recreation authority to treat this Park so we can enjoy walking through. I was there at 7pm last evening - it was still perfectly light outside - and fled from the swarms. Thanks.

The driver came from behind three cars at the red light at Euclid & 15th streets NW to drive straight through the very red light and nearly hit 2 cars and a bicycle then intentionally stopped at the green light at 16th & Euclid just to be mean after he saw me take a picture of his car. This person is an extremely reckless driver and needs to be removed from the road.

YES - loitering vagrants in front of 3020 14th st NW - 15-20 persons between 7am - 12 midnight constantly litter, dump, urinate, and defecate in the alley.
