need traffic lights at intersection at 900 Broadway and the street where buses go to Bangor High
  • Central & Hammond Bangor, ME - Bangor
The duration of the 'walk' signals in downtown Bangor give just enough time to make it 1/2 way across the street
  • 293 Grove St Bangor, Maine - Bangor
The speeding down Grove St is getting out of hand. This is on the "short" end of the street. There are a lot of children who live on this street and people fly up and down the road even when the kids are visible. My 6 year old and I nearly got hit 3 days ago when someone took the corner (from Stillwater turning right onto Grove) too tight and drove up onto the sidewalk. He missed us by about 7 feet. The speed limit is 25 and it's very rare when people actually go the speed limit. Usually people are going at least 40. Something needs to be done before a horrible accident happens!!!
  • Stillwater Avenue & Interstate 95 Bangor, Maine - Bangor
The far left lane is the only lane that goes STRAIGHT. The middle and right lanes are *RIGHT TURN ONLY*.
So while there are 3 lanes and only 1 lane (the far left lane) that is going straight... there are 4 street lights up with two of them on the left both pointing straight? Some people who do not read the sign about which lane is the 'going straight' lane will get confused and assume the middle lane is going straight too. This causes a lot of confusion and upset people as those in the appropriate left lane are going straight end up getting cut off by a driver to their right they were not expecting OR the car in the middle lane sits there waiting for a turn to go straight and the cars behind them who want to turn right **(as they should be able to)** end up beeping their horn and missing their green light.

You cannot safely drive in the two lanes without having to swerve around potholes that are from hannaford all the way to the brewer bridge. It is very unsafe, some vehicles are forced to hit those pot holes and they bounce at you. The filling the holes and putting cones down are not cutting it. It is destroying my vehicle to drive on them. My vehicle is taking quite the toll and others are too.

I don't mind motorcycles, I know people want to have fun when the weather gets better. But there are some very obnoxious motorcycle owners that make sure they have the loudest engine they can buy or tweak. Not everyone appreciates a full grown adult seeking massive attention at 2:00 in the morning on a week night. Again I don't mind regular motorcycles but it's the one's in which the driver needs to rev up the engine so loud that you can hear it blocks away. Or seems to do it in specific spots where it echos more. I live two streets over from Broadway and State and when motorcycles go up and down Broadway I can still hear it even with my windows closed. It's so loud that it keeps me up when I need to sleep. I and a majority of others have stuff to do in the mornings. This has nothing to do with taking peoples freedoms away but basically what about our freedom to rest at night? Why must some motorcycle owners be such attention seeking & needy people? I'm sorry but it doesn't seem all that masculine when a full grown adult seeks that much attention like a child. It's not so much intimidating as obnoxious, annoying, and childish. As if to say "Look at me mommy and daddy, look at meeee." It totally comes off as insecure behavior from someone who desperately needs attention. So sad.
  • Corner Of Davis/Ohio Bangor, ME - Bangor
There needs to be a 4 way stop at the corner of Davis and Ohio Street. People speed all the time even though the speed limit is 35. There have been a number of accidents over the years
  • Grove Street Bangor, ME - Bangor
All of Grove St. has new sidewalks except this portion. People have fallen. Also, the maple trees are uprooting the sidewalks especially in front of 109 Grove. The tree is dying as well.
  • Ohio St. Bangor, ME - Bangor
We saw a car swerve to hit a cat on Ohio St in Bangor. The cat was straddled by the car after the woman driving swerved out of her lane into the left lane towards a cat the was sitting near the curb. The cat wasn't moving in the first place and the driver had no reason to swerve. The car straddled the cat but then it ran through the park towards Court St. We took notice of the car long before it swerved to hit the cat because we could hear the engine rev and they were driving well over 40 Mph or so in a 25 mph residence area. We were on the opposite side of the street. The car is a red Mozda plate number 3962NA with a brown sticker near the plate as well as what we think is a sticker for Apple and another for Darlings. There was an African-American male in the passenger seat.

The sidewalk is horrible to walk on. I am a homeowner and have lived in this section for 17 years. The sidewalk has never been repaved OR even a long time before that. Pine Street's sidewalk got paved and the city doesn't even snowplow it in the winter!!
  • 40 Fremont St bangor, ME - Bangor
