The stormwater drain in the northwest corner of the intersection of 19th Street SE and Potomac Ave SE floods during nearly every rain. When there is a downpour, the water backs up far out into the intersection and makes crossing the street on foot impossible. My children and I are having to walk halfway down the block on Potomac Ave in the lane of car traffic with cars whirring by. Cars parked on the north side of Potomac routinely have water well up onto the tires and wheels, which could result in wheel rotor and brake damage. It seems that the stormwater drain needs to be cleaned out. Crews have come to remove leaves and debris before, but this seems to be a bigger problem....possibly further down into the system (maybe a tree root?).

This is a no parking sign due to driveway cutouts on D Street SE, behind my house at 1846 Potomac Ave SE. I have previously reported that this sign had fallen over. The sign is no longer present on site and we have a problem with folks parking and blocking driveway cutouts.
