Two or three days ago a street sweeper dumped a big pile of dirt and gravel on the street by the curb. Yesterday a street sweeper cleaned the entire street, but missed the big pile that was dumped earlier, due to a vehicle being parked on it. I know the street sweeper can't sweep where there is a vehicle, but here are a few suggestions that could be implemented to prevent this problem.

1. Don't dump dirt and gravel on the street
2. If you're going to dump, clean it up right away, or put out a barrier or sign to prevent people from parking there
3. Put out signs in the neighbourhood warning people not to park on the street, such as is done during snow removal
4. Ticket and/or tow vehicles that park in areas that are marked for cleaning

Since we are beyond prevention in this case, perhaps the city would consider sending somebody back to clean up this mess. If they can't come right away, then perhaps they could just put up a barrier for now and then send the sweeper when it's convenient.

I don't know if the sweeper that was here in this case was working for or in partnership with the crew that was contracted to repair the sidewalks on the street.

A little dirt and gravel on any street is normal, but this is a big pile, and was left by the sweeper. It needs to be dealt with.

With all of the drainage problems I've seen reported on this site in the past week, it was a pleasant surprise to see crews on our street already clearing snow and ice yesterday. Thank you and great job!

This intersection is uncontrolled at present, but really should be controlled. Eastbound motorists on 88 Ave have never and will never yield to northbound motorists on 97 Park St, although this is the lawful thing to do at an uncontrolled intersection such as this. Safest to install a yield sign on Park St northbound at 88 Ave, I think.

This sign has been here at least 3 days, but I haven't seen crews or equipment since Wednesday. Did they forget their sign?
