Concerned citizen

There is an 18 wheeler with cab attached that has been left sitting on Statesville Rd, Highway 115 for over two weeks now. The truck is facing oncoming traffic, it is parked improperly and illegally on the incorrect side of the road. This is a major hazard especially during early foggy mornings or at night. Lighting is needed very badly at the intersection of David Cox & Lakeview Rd. The truck has been left facing Northbound on the Southbound traffic shoulder this is on Hwy 115 Statesville Rd at Lakeview Rd. The truck is parked on the side of PraxAir 8501 Old Statesville Rd Charlotte, NC 28269

I’m sure by now I’m not the only one to have seen the homeless camp squatting home building going on in the corner of Harris Boulevard at Statesville Road. I did not just buy a very expensive home to have a squatting homeless camp not a half a mile away from my home. Why hasn’t the city gotten involved with this. Wouldn’t we all squat on land and build houses out of collected garbage if we could for FREE! 😐😰🤬

The construction on W sugar creeck between Rumole and Graham St. Is beyond past needing to be completed and CLEANED UP! This brings our property values down.! The weed growth in and around all the barrels, no sidewalk access. Complete traffic nightmare.!!! This area has grown exponentially in the past three years, and its only going to get worse as they are adding another 200+ homea to our community.!

We have seen this eyesore, nightmare of a constructuon project road work project for the past 6/8 years those barrels have been there. When will something bw done to clean up this mess.?

People are speeding terribly through the school zones of East Meck High School in excess of 45-50 mph they just completely ignore the school zone signals! CMPD this is an area you should be working you could fill up one or two if not more ticket books in one morning and one afternoon! I happened to see a CMPD Officer yesterday at 2:15 on Sardis Road near The Fletcher School and I almost pulled over to talk to him to tell him that he needed to be placed on Monroe Rd in front of East Meck this frustrates me that they can try to control the speeding in that area but not in front of East Meck PLEASE CMPD PLEASE I BEG YOU TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE DRIVERS SPEEDING if it were your child's school you would want something done too!!!

the crosswalk signals are not operating correctly we have had to pull our car out to block the traffic several times to protect the children crossing monroe road trying to get to East Mecklenburg high school. They are not operational at Conference Dr & Monroe Rd nor Eaglewood Dr & Monroe Rd these are critical crosswalks and should be properly operating at ALL times especially during school hours! I have watched in horror several times as children have pressed the crosswalk signal and to no avail it never comes on for them and they then RUN ACROSS MONROE RD this is just unacceptable!!!!!

Every afternoon Parents and children are taking their lives into their own hands my biggest problem is the SPEEDING through the school zones PLEASE CMPD I beg of you to make your presence known in this area during school hours you would be able to fill a ticket book in one morning and another in one afternoon the speeding is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! How many children have to get hurt at East Meck last year a child was hit by a car and SEVERELY injured due to speeding and it was during school zone hours!

Secondly the crosswalk signals for the students to cross Monroe road are NOT WORKING AND HAVE NOT BEEN WORKING!!! My daughter is dropped off as MANY other children are at the corner of Conference dr and Monroe Rd and each child presses the crosswalk signal and it NEVER COMES ON!!!! My husband and I have had to pull our car out to stop traffic to allow our child and MANY other children to safely cross the street!!!

There has been an issue with the turning arrow's at the intersection of Eaglewood Ave and entrance and exit into East Mecklenburg High School. You literally have to take your own life into your hands to try and make the left hand turn into East Mecklenburg parking lot to pick up and drop off your children. The turn arrow NEVER I MEAN NEVER COMES ON when it SHOULD ESPECIALLY DURING BUSY SCHOOL HOURS SO PARENTS AND CHILDREN ARE NOT IN HARMS WAY TRYING TO DROP THEIR CHILDREN OFF OR PICK THEIR CHILDREN UP FROM SCHOOL!! This turning arrow should come on in the morning hours for drop off's and in the afternoon hours for pick ups. I am certain that the people that reside on Eaglewood Ave are just as frustrated not being able to make the left turn into their neighborhood as the turning arrow never comes on for them either! This has got to become a priority to be fixed ASAP! There has been many teachers and students hurt in terrible accidents here with this turning arrow! What is it going to take to get this fixed aANOTHER fatality???....And if so it better not be myself or my family that get's hit ! There is a turning arrow signal as a citizen of Mecklenburg I would like to know why this light in front of a school is not operating properly especially when this is the ENTRANCE AND EXIT TO A SCHOOL??
