Hats off to Wake Forest PD! Not only were they using the emergency lights on their vehicles to help keep workers safe on 98 yesterday as they often do, the officers were actually out there in yellow vests picking up trash themselves. Much appreciated!

Joyner Park Would it be possible to trim the two trees as shown in the attached photo? They are obstructing more than 50% of the path.

Someone has graffitied a door in this commercial building. Hopefully it can be repainted soon as it is right in the middle of the downtown area.

The westbound 98 intersection at Ligon Mill Road was constructed as a controlled intersection. Currently there are two traffic signals at this location, both controlling the left turn lanes to go south on Ligon Mill Road. The two traffic signals that were to control the two westbound lanes at this intersection have been removed presumably until the construction on the north side is completed. This leaves the two westbound lanes with the appearance of being in a controlled intersection, but currently there is no control since the traffic signals have been temporarily removed. Numerous times every day vehicles stop in one or both of the right hand lanes when the left turn traffic signals are red. While in the Wegman’s parking lot today I witnessed a car screeching to a stop to prevent hitting a car that was stopped in front of them while mistakenly stopping for the left turn light. I hope that WF does not wait until there is a terrible collision at this intersection to realize that the two traffic signals that were removed need to be reinstalled immediately with a constant green arrow.

On eastbound 98 just west of Main, at the u-turn lane the existing bushes prevent EB drivers to clearly see when WB 98 traffic is clear. I reported this issue 4 months ago and was told that the bushes would be trimmed. This was never done. THIS IS A DANGEROUS CONDITION! When making the U-turn you have to guess if the traffic is clear until you move out in to 98 to verify. All of the bushes should be removed. I saw someone almost get T-boned there last week.

On westbound 98 at the new Ligon Mill Road interchange they have removed the traffic signals for the two right lanes. They were obviously removed until the development on the north side of the street gets under way. This is causing confusion for WB 98 through traffic at the intersection. Many cars traveling in the second lane from the right are stopping because they see the red left turn signal for Ligon Mill. I saw it happen twice today. When the cars stop suddenly, the cars behind have to slam on their breaks. Maybe the traffic signals should be reinstalled and just left as green lights.

This section of center island bushes on EB 98 should be removed near the turn around before Main. With the heavy traffic, and increased traffic when Wegmans opens, it is almost impossible to see down the street to safely complete a turn.

When part of the Joyner Park Greenway was closed this week I thought it was part of the fiber optics conduit installation that is currently in progress. What a surprise to find out this morning when the Greenway reopened that the closure was for bridge deck replacement. Thanks to the park service for getting this done in only a few days. Great Job!

I reported the dangerous situation with these bollards a couple of months ago. The response was that parts are ordered and they would be repaired when the parts are in. Any update?

On August 1, 2019 I made a comment that there is not a single crosswalk on South Main from Elm to 98 Bi-pass. I was informed that this was a NCDOT issue but "staff would review the request with NCDOT" . On October 14, 2019 the following was posted: "The town has submitted a request to the NCDOT for approval to install the crosswalk." I thought that with the recent work on Main they would have included a crosswalk. At certain times of day it is extremely dangerous to cross Main. Is there any update on having a crosswalk installed. Thanks in advance.

This toilet has been sitting out side of this building for months. Very unsightly for our beautiful downtown area. Would it be possible for the owner to haul it away?

Not really a pothole issue. These bollards that were installed during the recent street improvements have already failed. This is a very dangerous situation. Not sure if the bollards were not approved for a vehicular traffic or if they were improperly installed. Hopefully they can be replaced at no cost to the township.

Maybe the group who hauled in these picnic supplies on Sunday could have hauled them back out instead of leaving them in this beautiful park. Unfortunately the Park service will probably have to take the bags to the trash bin. Thanks in advance.

This couch has been at the curb for over two months. Can someone please pick it up?

If PW is working now, could someone please pick up these couches and mattress? They have been sitting in this location for over six months. Definitely not a critical item. Stay safe.

This bag has been sitting on the sidewalk for going on three weeks.

This panel over the Future tree well has been broken for a few weeks. I would advise investing four cones and some caution tape around this. Very dangerous.

All of the street lights were out this morning on the west side of Franklin from the #1 school building to the turnaround on Holding.
