Public Works denuded several trees along our block, including this one. As such, it cannot soak up as much water or offset as much CO2 (climate change wins.) It also may die (climate change wins, again.) Additionally, the homes on the block now receive more sunlight because you reduced our canopy, increasing the temperature and necessitating more AC use (climate change, for the sweep.)

Yes, there are wires...so trim, don't shave. Or better yet, add a surcharge to our electricity bills that ultimately allows us to bury these hideous things.

Climate change is a result of all of the little decisions we make. Jersey City and Public Works need to get on board or let someone else take care of our tree assets.

And please plant the trees at 40-48 Webster that have been promised now for over a year as a result of the removal of two mature trees on Ravine by the developer. The developer has offered to pay for the trees...so make him.

The service provider missed two large bags on the east side and one on the west side of Webster between Booraem and Ravine. I can attest that all three bags were out there in plenty of time for pickup.

They left one large bag inside a bin (and the bin on its side) at Abbett and Ferry. Finally, also at Abbett and Ferry, they left a bin rolling around in the street (which an ambulance with its lights on had to swerve to avoid hitting a few minutes ago.)

Please consider these failures when the provider's contract is up for renewal. We need a company who removes everything we put at the curb (so as not to just create more litter) and conscientiously places all bins back on the sidewalk and out of the way of vehicular traffic.

When I call the municipal courthouse and press "0" to be connected to an operator, the system connects me and then hangs up. How can I talk with someone at the courthouse?

Please clear up around 107 New York Avenue and send the owner of this abandoned factory the bill.

Because Webster Avenue goes from a two way street with no bike lane to a one way street with a bike lane on the west side while traveling north, truly foolish people keep riding bikes and skateboards
north on Webster between Ferry and Booraem on the wrong side of the road, fully two blocks before they get to that north bound bike lane after Ferry. This poorly designed series of intersections has drivers turning south off Ravine and Ferry into bikers and skateboarders occupying the south bound lane (and therefore on the wrong side of the road.) This will get people killed. Please redesign Webster as it goes through Ferry and Ravine. Webster really should only be one way.

The bins for these businesses are always overrun with trash, which then spills into the adjacent empty lot (that could be a fantastic community garden) and on the sidewalk and street.

Yet another dumped television, on Ravine just west of Webster. Some USPS bins to boot.

The storm drain at Ravine and Webster is backed up, creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The attached picture is an hour after the rain yesterday, and it has only dropped about a foot as of this morning. We've seen the developer at 29 Ravine (FM Home Improvement, Inc.) depositing materials in the storm drain, which may have contributed to this unprecedented backup.

Please tell me what was so wrong with my paper recycling that it had to be rejected last night. At the curb, in time, and left for me this morning.

The stoplights at Webster and Ravine and Webster and Ferry are routinely treated as nonexistent, by both civilians and police. This morning, while walking the dog, I watched a police car fail to even slow down as it sped through Ravine. Civilians see this, and do the same. There is a day care at Webster and Ferry- it's only a matter of time before someone runs over a child or parent.

The developer at Ravine and Webster replaced two massive and beautiful trees with two tiny trees. Around the corner (on Webster), and adjacent to the property is a long sidewalk without any trees and no overhead wires (see pic.) We've asked him to request permission to add trees to this barren sidewalk, but he is stonewalling us. Please mandate that he add trees to replace the beautiful old trees he stripped out to add curb cuts.
