  • Amerige Park Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3
Ward 3 Signs for July 4th Celebration are left up at Amerige. Now that it is more than a week after the holiday, it seems to be time to store them away safely for next year. Thank you.

two white bags of trash and cardboard / packing material left at corner of Pleasant Street and S. Washington St near Senior Center. Thank you.
  • Earl Street And Kernwood Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3

Trip hazard on "old asphalt" sidewalks in the vicinity of Earl Street and Kernwood Street (photo attached).

These are now hazardous and unsafe for pedestrian passage. A person tripped there and suffered visible injury recently - they fell on the Kernwood side of Earl pictured here. There is also a big open tree pit on the opposite side of Earl Street, the aftermath of a tree removed but never replaced (years ago).

These sidewalks are heavily traveled by pedestrians, and frequently traversed by elderly citizens with mobility challenges. Thank you for addressing this.

  • Public Park Archiviert
Fellsmere Pond Walkaway Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3
There appears to be groundwater building, near the walkway on the Fellsmere Rd side of the pond. We have just had heavy rain, but both sides of the walkway show much more water pooling than other nearby areas. It appears there is a construction stake and some markings. Is this ground under repair? Thanks for any update.

  • Grace And Glenwood Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3
At about 5 pm on Sunday, Dec 13 while walking from Grace to Glenwood, I first heard then saw a compact black car racing by at a very high rate of speed, moving from east to west along Glenwood. Right at the point where Grace joins Glenwood, the speeding vehicle (est 50+ mph) swerved into the opposing lane and passed another car. The black car then sped into the winding, blind curve. I've read a number of SCF reports about concerns on speeds, but I'd never seen it like this with a speeding car passing in such a reckless fashion. The recent accident and number of SCF reports of speeding vehicles in this area suggests focused action and enforcement is needed. Thank you for considering this.
  • Wiley And Chatham Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3
The short, small fire hydrant at the corner of Wiley and Chatham Street Extension could use an extension marker to help it be more visible in snowy settings. Thanks for considering this.
  • Wiley And Bower Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3
Multiple neighbors would like to see a barrel of sand for the winter placed in the vicinity of Wiley / Fall / Bower / Clyde. It's a slippery, hilly stretch. One possible location exists at the corner of Wiley and Bower - others may be better.
  • 40 Clyde Street Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3

The sidewalk tree at 40 Clyde has roots that have grown through the sidewalk. This is a longstanding problem, reported multiple times. The hazard is visible in Google street photos from 3 years ago. It poses a serious safety hazard and risk. Elderly and disabled individuals are forced to walk in the street to avoid this. Sidewalk snow removal is hampered as well.

Approximately 8 concrete panels of sidewalk were repaved recently near the corner of Clyde and Pine, yet this small but seriously hazardous section near 40 Clyde was not repaired.

Please prioriize the repair of this serious safety hazard. The attached photo shows the poor condition in 2012 and the serious trip hazard that still exists in 2015. Thank you.

  • 32 Woodland Road Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3
Manhole cover raised above asphalt surface, and surrounded by crumbling asphalt. Neighbors concerned about damage to vehicles passing over this. Especially concerned about snow plows, but the exposed manhole coupled with depth of nearby potholes could be rough on any vehicle. Additional potholes in vicinity of light pole 4654. Resident reports having made several attempts to report this over the past two months. The whole street is in rough shape, but this stands out. Thank you for improving this.
  • Pothole Archiviert
40 Bower Street Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3
Multiple potholes. One "deep pocket" shows sunken asphalt, which has sunk below level grade, preventing cars on even side of road from opening door of vehicle (door gets pinned against the curb) in vicinity of #40. Pothole repair plus a strip of asphalt along curb to bring section back to grade. As it is now, cannot open car door at curb in front of #40. Additional large potholes exist where this stretch of Bower intersects Pine. This is a longstanding issue.
  • Murray Hill Road And Fellsway East Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 3

The street sign for Murray Hill Road is not spelled correctly.

A previous SeeClickFix submission on this was archived after it was determined to be a DCR issue. This reporter contacted DCR, as was suggested in the original reply. Neither of the DCR individuals identified is responsible for signs. However, DCR staff did look into this question further. Their review of road plans and other documentation indicates Murray Hill Road is not a DCR road. Therefore, they conclude DCR is not responsible for Murray Hill Road signage. DCR observed that "Murry" Is a very old street sign.

To complicate things, the direction-giving sign on this pole is an MDC sign (that state agency no longer exists.)

It appears a sunken sewer is sinking further at this pole.
