To turn south onto 108th from the Shoppers/McDonalds - the green is about 10 seconds long, which only allows about 3 cars to get through the light, if nobody is coming the other way. It should probably be triple that, especially at peak hours. Traffic is often backed way way back here at supper time

It should not take 30 minutes to go from Mr Mikes to Original Joe's. Traffic flow is brutal in Grande Prairie. Lights aren't sequence for flow, turning arrows are either too short or not turned on, turning lanes are way too short so cars turning left overflow into the straight thru lane. Traffic in this town of 65,000 moves like a City of 800,000. We have some serious infrastructure transportation issues here, that even if you start today, will take years to sort out.

Sidewalk on south side of road is completely impassable, buried under snow - many kids take this path to get to the school bus stop. Year after year the owner of this land fails to maintain the property until someone in the neighbourhood complains.

Travelling North from 68th to 100th on 108 - had to stop at EVERY single light - again! At 7pm in the evening. Drives me crazy - there is no traffic flow on this road, no wonder so many people run lights. Think of all the excess idling vehicles do at these light. Please please please fix the sequencing of these lights.
  • 10811 84 Avenue Grande Prairie, AB T8W 6T2, Canada - Grande Prairie
Requires a longer south turning arrow from 84th avenue at peak traffic times. Between 430 and 6pm only 4 cars are able to turn before the light changes, and that is only because the last 2 run the yellow

This is the light that allows for east/west traffic to turn onto 100th street. However, the light changes even for cars that are turning right, to go either north or south, which causes unnecessary delays for the regular north/south traffic. Tonight for example, I'm heading south. Someone came from the east and turned right onto 100th - so I sat a a red light with no other traffic around for as far as I could see.

Don't mind me, just sitting here at the light, waiting to turn west onto 68th from 100th, but of course there is one person going straight into Countryside South so nobody can move until the light turns green. Sure be nice if there was a right turning lane so I don't have to waste my life . . .

Need turning lane for vehicles wanting to turn west from 100th onto 68th avenue. I often sit and sit while waiting for the 1 or 2 cars to go straight into countryside south. Also need a much longer turning land to go west onto 84th.

There has been water running down the median curb all summer long, and it was there last year as well. Not sure if it is supposed to be there or not
  • 10214 116 Avenue Grande Prairie, AB T8V 4K5, Canada - Grande Prairie
Need turning signal from 102 street onto 116 ave west - ridiculous that I'm the 3rd car in line and it takes me 3 lights to get through.
  • 108 Street Grande Prairie, AB T8W, Canada - Grande Prairie
Please change the north-south walk signal on the east side of the road so it only activates when the button is pushed, very frustrating to wait for nobody to cross.

Walk signal on east side of 108th, heading north or south. So today at 530, I am the 8th car in line trying to turn south onto 108 (from between shoppers and mcdonalds). We wait for the 1 minute walk signal to start flashing don't walk, it finally changes, and we get a green light. 2 cars go through and the light changes to yellow. Once again, the dreaded north south walk light comes on, even though there is no pedestrians nearby to have pushed the button. The walk light stays white for an entire minute while nobody walks, then finally changes again. In the meantime, there are 10 cars lined up back from the light, and at least that many trying to get out of Shoppers and a similar amount from McDonalds. I have seen this walk signal come in randomly at all different times of the day, messing up our already poor traffic flow

Turning left from 100 onto 116th is brutal! Cars will be lined up 40 or 50 deep at busy times, turn lane needs to be longer as does the turn signal. You can easily sit for 20 minutes here
  • Pinnacle Drive Grande Prairie, AB T8W 2L2, Canada - Grande Prairie
I drive north on 108 street from 68 ave to 100 street nearly every day, and if I don't have to stop for a red light at 5 of the 6 lights, it's because I ran a light. I complained earlier this year and was told that 1.5 million was being spent this summer on an intelligent system, but if it is installed it doesn't work. It's very frustrating, and traffic rarely gets above 40 kms during rush hours. Or if you do get to 70, you are slamming on your brakes at the next light.
