This has had Washington Avenue CLOSED pretty much SINCE 2006 (or so it seems). Traffic is not allowed through Washington Ave from Linderman to the Greenkill Ave (minus school buses for GWS, and a few willing to navigate to the local business, which is now moving due to LOSS of business).

This has allowed for youth and drug dealers to now roam the street of this part of Washington Avenue with little or no awareness from anyone but those participating in it or the few elderly or families that still maintain their homes in the area. Houses have been broken into repeatedly. It is driving out business and residents, and Kingston cannot afford the loss. I am not sure whether the City deems it not important, or are clueless on how to fix it, but it's frankly embarrassing to anyone who resides in the city and I'm a bit surprised it hasn't gotten more attention in the news. Kingston needs to take care of it's roads, and in turn it's business owners and residences, who DO pay the taxes.

The issue is over a year old, and the pothole was fixed over the summer. New potholes I am sure are popping up - as Washington is still closed. If you have a specific complaint please open a new issue. Thanks.
