Thanks for reporting this. I enjoy reading the Mybikelane site and wish reports could be posted here as well, since it is a more broad-based place for reporting and "voting" on citizen concerns.

In the meantime, forwarding this issue to your local elected official and your neighbors can also help. Some elected officials in Philly (and many in other cities) are actively monitoring their districts so they can step in and help take action on issues of major concern, but many of them don't know about this technology yet.

I just received a response from Philly 311. The appropriate response for this is to contact 911 when you see cars parked in bike lanes. Personally, I think this is excessive, but I'm more then willing to do it if that's what it takes...

I guess the measure of success will be whether a blocked bike lane you report on 911 is fixed or not.

Would it be equally effective if the Police Officers' blackberries had "watch areas" on this site, so that they received instant notifications whenever a lane was blocked? Some other cities do this.

Let's keep tracking and see what works best.

It's great that citizens can communicate directly with City Hall.

Please keep documenting blocked bike lanes here on SeeClickFix, so that over time, other citizens can personally weigh in on whether there has been a resolution.
