  Actually they are not illegal in Memphis city limits. However there is a noise ordinance. But a rooster? really?

  Yes illegal for rooster to be within the city. Call 222-9725- shelby county health & they will take the complaint. It is listed under “ noise ordinance “

  i live a block away and have never heard the rooster. I hear the lions and monkeys at the zoo all the time.

  I agree Theo,,, I would think the Zoo would be a much bigger issue.
  Q,, technically it's a noise issue,, not a rooster issue. If the rooster doesnt make a sound then no issue.
