The lack of upkeep on Sonoma Blvd/Hi 29 in the area between Hi 37 and AmCan is also sad. Vallejo made a big deal about cleaningup Sonoma Blvd to attract tourists but completely ignored the constant trashing of upper Sonoma Bl- as well as the street side vendors- the part of Vallejo that tourists actually see when they drive through Vallejo to access Napa Valley. it's depressing to constantly see Vallejo referred to as "ghetto" but no wonder.

The coming Bay Trail will go up the old Hi 37 to Broadway, then over [???] through the fenced off old Walmart parking lot, and then out Meadows by the wetlands area. All areas that are significant dumping grounds. I realize Vallejo has minimum staffing for this and the people doing this job must be working like crazy to try to keep up as it is. It's on the City leaders to do better if they care about Vallejo's image. SAD .

My comments on how Vallejo looks, coming and going, have been well documented over the past 5 to 6 years. I have tried to contact the city manager and even the mayor with no results. I have come to the conclusion that the city council and everyone associated with the city could care less about what happens in this town because most of the people who work here dont live here! This city has turned into a pig sty, and the city uses the excuse of the covid pandemic, what a joke! Why wasnt the city kept up when the pandemic didnt exist? Because the city doesnt care! I come and go now and the homeless camps have compounded 10 fold, garbage everywhere you look, and nobody doing a darn thing about it. The city of Vallejo has had a bad reputation for the last 20 years and its only gotten worse. The citys north and south of us dont have this problem because they care what their town looks like, Vallejo doesnt and boy does it SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a shame that all matters to the city leaders are their paychecks!

Address this immediately please. This makes the city of Vallejo look like sh!t. Call code enforcement on the property owner. I have no problem with the homeless living in their campers however the lot is a disaster. Discarded Furniture and abandoned vehicles. The garbage spills into the adjacent streets. I can’t allow my daughter to walk to work at McDonald’s on these streets. The property owner hasn’t done enough to remedy this problem and can not afford to lose the last tenants there.
