Thanks for reporting! Shopping carts are the property of the store/business. Many stores have a service that will pickup the carts for them and deliver them back to the business. Because we have one employee who picks up illegal dumping, we don't have the resources to store or pick-up and drop-off carts at their respective business. We will pick up the dumping/trash that is inside the cart, but cannot remove the cart because it is private property.

We are looking into a better solution to help in this matter, but for now our suggestion is to call the business that owns the cart and alert them to the location of the cart. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to call us at 707-648-4581. Thanks again for using SeeClickFix!

Thanks for the reply. There is no name on the shopping cart to call the company so what is the next best option?

There has to be a better response to this than the solution provided....???

Update: The one City employee responsible with picking up illegal dumping has been given this report. There has been a lot of illegal activity over the weekend so we cannot estimate when this cart will be removed, but the Grounds Maintenenance section is aware of it and will pick it up.
