I am unsure as to who can help me regarding this, but I've reported this and no one has done anything since I saw this dog on the roof of a business.

Going to work this past Monday, on the Brown Line Elevated train heading towards the Loop I saw a business at the Montrose Street Station stop that has an orange colored doghouse and what looked like a dead dog but could have been sleeping on the roof of the building acting as a guard dog.The business roof can be seen clearly from the train but if you were standing on the East side of the platform you probably would see it better.

There were no other identifying features except for a parking lot with what seems to be a loading dock in the South side, the West side immediately against the elevated trains and the East side on the street of N. Ravenswood Avenue. Probably better seen if traveling north towards Kimball. I was able to see it because my train stopped briefly and I noticed the doghouse and then the dog as we started moving, but not soon enough to take a picture. You will definitely see the roof and dog from the platform or train.

Looking the area up on GoogleMaps, it states that the business name could be the Chicago Embroidery Company. I fear that if confronted, they may deny access for enough time as to allow them to either hide or remove the dog. It looked like a medium to large dog with a thick brindle colored (more dark brown mixed with some black) with a dark snout. It appeared to have a collar. It was lying a few yards away from the dog house.

I got off after work and took pictures on Monday after work (see one pic below) but I couldn't see the dog. This morning I saw him in the dog house so if your on the platform you can't see into the doghouse. I'll stop off again today and try to take more pictures. The roof is full of feces and they have toys up there but I couldn't see if the dog had any water or food bowls.

I am notifying everyone I can and I'm not expecting you to go there, but perhaps you know someone that can actually do something. Please help this dog, especially on a hot days like the past three days.

I believe the business license, the department of buildings, animal cruelty, and probably a whole host of other violations can be charged against this business.

Thanks for helping.
