I wonder if Public Works would take care of overgrowth? For sure the curb is a no brainer. If overgrowth is also on play then I would like to suggest that the truck swing by the lead in on Timberwood at Sheppard on their way in or out. If overgrowth is out of scope I wonder if anyone would be interested in a community clean up party. We could bring out our power tools and take care of a lot of brush ourselves. Probably could get a lot of it under control all over the neighborhood in 4 hours or less.
I tried pulling up as much of the overgrowth as I can in front of my property. Some of the weeds have grown straight into the pavement and into the street, so it's impossible to pull back up.
This is also due to a drainage issue. Water pools right in the curb area and since it can't go no where, the weeds just love it and grows at an incredible pace. I've submitted another request for the drainage issue. Hopefully one will get resolved :)
Thank you for submitting your issue report to Hamden Public Works. In an effort to improve maintenance operations in Hamden, the Town is closing out issue reports submitted prior to 2021 that still remain open in the See Click Fix system. If your issue still exists or remains a problem, please re-open your issue with a new comment within the next 7 days or you will be required to resubmit your issue as a new report. Please call Hamden PW at 203-287-2600 with questions.
I still have my broken curbing from the snowplow from spring 2019 at 3 Nutmeg Hill Road. Apparently too late in the year to fix now. Perhaps you can schedule for the spring 2022?
