"I forwarded your e-mail to the police department and this is the response they sent me: 'We still do not have land lines installed at 10 Wall St. The number listed on the department web-site for narcotics is 203-946-6098. That goes to John Velleca's voice-mail, and he forwards the info to me.[My experience has been that my messages left at this number are NEVER returned.] Other cell numbers/ e-mails people can use are: Lieutenant Jeff Hoffman 203-687-0534 (daytime) jhoffman@newhavenct.net, Sgt. Reginald Sutton 203-687-0538 (daytime) rsutton@newhavenct.net, Sgt. Ray Johannes 203-410-0530 (daytime), Sgt. Doug Harkins 203-507-7923 (evenings) dharkins@newhavenct.net, Sgt. Sam Brown (evenings) sgbrown@newhavenct.net.'"

Had to add this comment On the New Haven Independent, from a retired cop re. city's website www.CityofNewHaven.com:
"Regarding the NHPD page on the City Website. AMAZING! The committee working on keeping it updated sure missed a couple of years in there. Cops who retired in June, 2009 are listed on the website! ISD (Detectives) had several errors as well. Under “Press Releases”, the most current one on the website is from August, 2010. Never trust a committee to get the job done. Redding left in June, 2010; that means the committee has not met since at least then. It could be because there is not a new committee head to set a new meeting date. Why not have one person from the NHPD dedicated to contacting the webmaster when there are changes to the roster? Just as long as that person notifies someone if they retire.
I think I heard the rock group “The Vapors” in the background music while I was viewing [now-obsolete] http://www.newhavenpolice.org"
