Whoever is reporting all this nonsense needs to get a hobby. You are causing problems for people without knowing the situation. First, less than a month ago, we had a hurricane. Second, this is the fourth or fifth tree complaint in this exact area. Instead of hiding behind your computer screen, maybe knock on your neighbors doors to see if you can assist them. Who knows, maybe you will make a positive impact instead of a negative one.

I agree with Anonymous. This is ridiculous....leave all the trees up around your house if you want. However, if someone chooses to remove a tree to protect their property it is none of your business because I am sure when it's time for repairs the only money you'll be chipping in is the 2 cents you keep putting in on this page.

The trees bring the beauty to Pines Village and now they are being chopped down or illegaly trimmed. If the owner of the house knew it was legal to trimm it, he would not have it trimmed during evening and night hours, in other words hiding it from the city. The tree does not represent a threat to anyone.

Thank you so much Concrete. And Oscar the trees are beautiful and if that was the case with this specific tree then it's an understandable complaint. However, there have been other complaints over the past week or so that trees are being chopped down for no reason. Trees were damaged from the storm including a very large pine down the street from this one. That approximately 80+ foot pine was split in half & fell across the road. The remaining half was deemed dangerous and hazardous yet someone reported it & the elderly homeowners were harassed by the city because of it. I'm saying get the facts straight before you hide behind a computer screen and complain.

People are taking advantage of the hurricane or using it as an EXCUSE to chopped down everything!!!

If few of the branches in a tree broke during the hurricane you TRIM the broken branches, you don't CHOP DOWN the whole tree!!!!!!!!!!! (Unless the main trunk is broken) There is a big difference between trimming and CHOPPING DOWN the whole thing! And if you have to chop down the whole tree because absolutely ALL the branches broke (which is a big lie) then you have to PLANT more trees for replacement!

In Pines Blvd you 're going to see many many branches of trees broken on the floor, but do you see the city chopping down all those trees ??? NOOOOOO!!!

I'm tired of hearing and seeing people cutting trees down because they don't want to be cleaning up leaves and stuff all year round! That's called lazyness!

Mari like I said to Oscar if it's a legitimate complaint fine but he is reporting trees that have been deemed hazardous and dangerous. He stands in front of his house at 301 SW 70 Avenue and causes problems for people without knowing the details. I would be happy to show you pictures of a large pine he reported down the street that was deemed hazardous and dangerous by the city.

I agree with Mari. Some people take advantage of a hurricane to break the rules and negatively affect the appearance of the neighborhood. Based on the photo this specific case is an example of that. Pity.

I hate to burst your bubbles but first off you can't base everything off a photo that may or may not tell the whole story. Secondly even though I don't know who lives here, the city has already checked into this & closed the case. Just scroll down a little & you will see their comment. I think people need to stop using the cities resources for things they know nothing about. I am speaking from experience on a different tree damaged by the storm that the same person reported. Find something better to do.
