Overgrown weeds. The median street between Hiiltop and 805 used to have green grass nicely maintained. Due to water shortage the grass was removed and replaced with mulch. Now weeds are growing on this open space-medians and it seems no one is maintaining it. Does the City Ground Maintenance take of the weeds?

Joaquin,
It is simple math. Those who live on the west side do not pay into HOA's & Mello Roos. Nor do we have the income to generate the taxes to pay for such amenities as weed-free medians and streets that are not cracking into thousands of pieces to the point that the children cannot even ride bikes safely in front of the houses (Malta, Sandstone, Marble are prime examples). The City will tell you that they only have five million dollars budgeted to repair/maintain the infrastructure maintenance list that requires at least twelve million dollars to just catch up on the most dire repairs. They do not see the dandelions and tumble weeds growing on Orange Ave as a "dire repair". Maybe when one of those tumbleweeds break loose and cause an accident will the City look at the situation. Until then look at it as Mother Nature doing what she does best, filling up empty neglected space.
