The City of Oakland Call Center has received this issue. It is registered as service request #720932. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

When the road gets repaved, the unneeded speed bumps should be removed. They inflict pain to injured people even when they go so slowly over them. The road is so narrow with parked cars that all they do is make people hurt.
Thank you for your request. According to our system, we already have an open service request of this kind at this location. Your request has been combined with service request #720909. If you would like to check the status of the request, please contact the Public Works Call Center at 510-615-5566 or pwacallcenter@oaklandnet.com.
There are maybe a hundred pot holes in the area that have accumulated for more than year. It makes no sense to make a file of them. Just fix them and stop filing.
Some pot holes were fixed on the road, but others which are nearby were ignored. The whole road needs to be repaved. There is a big one and getting bigger on Charing Cross, just east of Schooner Hill.
FYI Charing Cross is not on the paving plan which goes through 2019. The east side of Hiller is, apparently. It seems the pothole blitzes are the best we can do for now. Search and vote for all the potholes on Charing Cross:
