Bulk Amnesty doesn't include yard debris it is for household furniture and appliances. If there are any questions they can call the Solid Waste Department at 404-270-7140. Per the city ordinance:
CHAPTER 2. - GARBAGE AND TRASH[1]
ARTICLE A. - IN GENERAL[2]
Sec. 7-2002. - Container—deposit of solid waste; deposit of yard trimmings; requirements.
(a)
All solid waste must be deposited in plastic bags securely tied with appropriate closure strips so that the contents thereof do not spill and place in covered plastic or metal garbage cans for disposal. It shall be unlawful to fail to store solid waste cans in the rear of the property or as close to the rear as possible on the side of the property to reduce their visibility from the public right-of-way.
(b)
Yard trimmings shall not be placed in a plastic bag but, shall be placed in watertight paper bags or cardboard boxes which, when full, do not exceed fifty (50) pounds.
Sec. 7-2009. - Same—Residence fees
(d)
At the request of a resident, the solid waste division will schedule a special pickup appointment for the collection of yard waste which is either "oversized" and not in accordance with the limitations specified in the City Code of Ordinances or in excess of ten (10) cubic yards of total waste. The one-time surcharges for these services are as follows:
Oversized yard waste, per cubic yard(1) .....$10.00
Excess yard waste, per cubic yard(2) .....10.00
NOTES:
(1)Minimum charge for oversized yard waste shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) per pickup.
(2)Charge applies to all yard waste collected during special pickup.
