It's quite unnerving to see all the trash or homeless camps in this area. I've seen several along Fayetteville St across from the park. It's especially bad in the winter when the foliage is down and they are fully exposed.

I contacted NCDOT and received the following reply:

"Thank you for your note. The City does in fact maintain Water Works Street between Fayetteville Street and Penmarc Drive per their street survey.
You may contact the City of Raleigh's Street Maintenance Unit at 919-996-6446 if you are not having any luck with the "seeclickfix.com" forum."

The box spring and mattress were dumped at 35.758070, -78.644576 as shown on Google Maps. This location is maintained by the city of Raleigh as shown by their street survey in the attached image.

Now stop lying to me by telling me the City of Raleigh doesn't maintain this location when in fact it does and please attend to this matter.

The mattress was removed last week.

For clarification, the automatic updates you saw on this post previously were posted by the department that handles residential garbage & recycling collection. Because this issue was reported in the garbage category, it was automatically assigned to the Solid Waste Services Department. However this department is not responsible for collecting garbage from city owned property. Staff who manage SeeClickFix rerouted your complaint to the correct department and they collected the mattress last week. Thanks for understanding.
