mountain view ave has become a short cut to by pass traffic on tuolumne to get to redwood-drivers speed with no regard to public safety.with no side walks walkers of dogs,children in strollers and home owners must constantly be on guard for speeding vehicles.speed bumps could help increase safety

I followed up with our Traffic Engineer and was given the following information from the traffic study:
"I had a count taken and the 85% speed is 25 mph, which is consistent with the existing speed limit of 25 mph. Per California Vehicle Code Section 22358.3, a speed limit of 15 or 20 mph can only be established on roadways that are 25 feet or less in width.
Mountain View is 27-30 feet wide, so does not qualify for a lower speed limit."
