It's been a year since this issue was reported.

It is discouraging that it seems the property owners' mailing address is invalid - especially when a city run organization is trying to reach them. If the proper people are reading this, I suggest that in future situations such as this one, where the property owner can't keep their contact information up to date with the city, a notice should be posted at the property for 30 to 90 days. When the notice goes unanswered, the city should have every right to cease the property and make a handsome profit off its use.

The same owners of 1713 McKean own the NEIGHBORING furniture design business which is located in this same alley. It is impossible to miss. Serve the official documents or notifications there.

Not only that, but if you Google the owner's names you could get enough hits to certainly find some way of contacting them in order to let them know this building is a travesty that does not adhere to the ordinance.

I have to repeat to who ever comes across this posting that it is appalling that enforcing a city ordinance stops when a property owner has an invalid contact address. Perhaps the property should be considered abandoned and ceased by the city, who can then turn it over to someone who actually ACTUALLY (yes I said it twice) gives a damn about this neighborhood.

1713 McKean has been vacant for more than 25 years.

It should not be that difficult for this ordinance to be enforced. Especially when the city could be making a pretty penny in fines until the owners fix this issue.
