I agree. My parking spot is in a lot across the street, and you cannot avoid the giant posters of penises in white brief underwear.

I hope you've written to Calvin Klein to remove their billboards and I'm sure you have also spoken with managers at department stores where mannequins are wearing underwear or bathing suits.

Nudity is one thing, but underwear is not indecent. I politely suggest you get over it.

Our Downtown District officers reached an agreement with Our Place not to post these posters here. They apparently have forgotten that. I will ask an officer to stop by and remind them.

We have tried to work with this business, but with repeat violations Capt. Craghead is in contact with the District Attorney on possible criminal charges that can be filed. I will update when more information is available.

I just can't imagine anyone writing in to complain that somebody was displaying a poster of a woman in a bikini, that clearly shows HER anatomy. But it is apparent that your issue is with the "gay" aspect.

We believe they are violating the NC Obscenity Law: North Carolina General Statutes § 14-190.1 Obscene literature and exhibitions

Assuming we're talking about the same poster, the one that can be seen at the entrance when you walk west towards Boylan Bridge.. I don't see how it's any more obscene than the Victoria's Secret ads and bikini posters in Crabtree Mall. They are all ads for underwear, this one just happens to have a dude in it.

Our officers have determined after review that no law is being violated, though we have contacted the owners to ask them once again to remove the posters visible in the entryway.
