3111 East Broad Street continues to be a blight on our neighborhood.

I know the city code enforcement inspectors have on numerous occasions sent in reports on this house but nothing ever happens.

The city posted a notice of violations on this house just after January 1, 2015. The owner has seen this letter as it was removed by him.

There is no decking on the front deck and the structural members of the deck are badly rotted. There is a lot of woodwork on this house with no paint on it. The brick pilings holding up the deck is just a pile of bricks with no mortar.

There is an open hole in the brickwork under the front deck that I am sure animals are going into this house.

On top of all this, the owner of this house is $3800 behind in the payment of real estate taxes.

Come on City of Richmond, let’s do something about this house. Suggest that it go to auction for collection of the taxes.
