Beschreibung

This intersection can be a zoo and certainly a major accident waiting to happen. People entering from Meadowbrook regularly ignore the stop sign. People waiting to cross 9P get frustrated waiting and cross dangerously and people going toward Saratoga Lake, who pull right get passed in the short double -line area by nuts who are breaking the speed limit. The problem is bad all year round but especially back during the racing and summer season. Please, please, please looking this before there is a serious accident. The problem is getting worse almost be the day.

Not everything needs to be converted into a Roundabout. Routes 9 and 67 are both ugly now because of the overzealous state department of transportation wanting to put them every intersection.

NO MORE ROUNDABOUTS!! There are way to many in use now. Look at Malta! I now call it Squirleyville since you feel like it's a maze going around those things and a lot of people just don't get or care how you are supposed to properly use a roundabout. If you can't handle the traffic in a certain area than try to find an alternative route. RickH is 100% correct. The only reason there are so many now is because of the grant money that comes with a roundabout. They really are not safer. They cause more confusion then preventing accidents. They are just darned ugly too.

This would be a perfect place for a roundabout. It would slow 9P traffic as well as allow drivers from Meadowbrook and Gilbert Roads to enter safely. This will not stop all accidents but will nearly eliminate the chance of a serious one.
