Beschreibung
A critical water drainage issue on Arthur Terrace is severely impacting the property at 23-25 Adams St. Following the street's repaving, its slope now directs rainwater and runoff onto this property, leading to substantial damage, health and safety risks for young children, and structural threats, including regular basement flooding.

Thank you for your ongoing support. Recently, I forwarded an email containing detailed information regarding this pressing issue I am facing. I understand from a previous correspondence that this email has been linked to my current request.
In short, excess water is flooding into my backyard and basement from the slope and improper drainage of the recently paved side street (Arthur Terrace).
To ensure that we have all the necessary information at hand and to expedite the resolution process, could you kindly advise what additional details required from my end?
Furthermore, considering the urgency and complexity of the matter, it would be greatly beneficial to have a more in-depth discussion. Could we possibly arrange a phone call or schedule a face-to-face meeting at your earliest convenience?
Thank you once again for your attention to this matter.

311 Service Center received the following email from the constituent requesting an update:
"Dear Watertown DPW,
I am writing to urgently request an update on the water drainage and safety issues on Arthur Tr that I've previously communicated about affecting our property on 23-25 Adams St. Unfortunately, I have not yet received a response, and the situation has worsened significantly.
This past weekend, our property sustained further damage due to rainfall. Our basement gets water even with regular rain. We had to install a pump in the corner of our basement today at a cost of over $2,500. However, we remain uncertain about the effectiveness of this solution, as water infiltrates across half of the right side of our house.
Each forecast of rain brings fear of additional damage to our property and risks to our family's safety.
As mentioned earlier, a specific area of Arthur Tr has also sunk, exacerbating the pressure on our cement block fence and causing it to lean dangerously towards our property. Water cascades like a waterfall into our yard at this spot with every rain, as detailed in the photos and videos I previously shared on my first email.
I kindly request your urgent attention to prioritize and address these concerns for our family's safety and to manage escalating repair costs. Your prompt update on actions being taken and any recommended immediate measures to mitigate further damage would be deeply appreciated."
Followed up with DPW Superintendent for an update.
