Wondering why there are no street lights on Drualeigh Rd from Rockwood Drive to Camden Court. There are sidewalks on both sides of the street and the bottom of the hill where the bridge is get quite messy during any bad weather.

The lighting design for Duraleigh Road would only be for the Glenwood Avenue to Rockwood Drive section; approximately 1.8 miles in length. A lighting design for Blue Ridge Road from the Rex Hospital area to Hillsborough Street would be included with any future roadway improvement plans at a later date.
Public Works staff is estimating that lighting could potentially be installed from Glenwood Ave. to Rockwood Dr. during the 2015-2016 budget year. This tentative plan is of course dependent on any issues that may occur during the design and/or installation process, the estimated up-front costs (budget limitations), and Duke Energy's installation schedule. Public Works currently has several other lighting projects in various stages of completion that are in the queue ahead of Duraleigh Road. Public Works and Duke Energy staff are working diligently to complete these.
