Just got a letter that this establishment is proposing a 12ft neon sign in their restaurant, 4x larger than the standard. Ostentatious and tacky.

We need local residents to show up at that meeting and have our voices heard.

To be fair, lots of businesses in Midtown have neon signs that are far larger than 12'; Marcus Market & MOCAD come to mind.

I think the blocked bike lane is a much larger issue, if for no other reason than because it's actually dangerous.

It’s an added distraction to an already congested, accident-prone intersection.

Not resolved. They are partially blocking the bike lane.

@Kenfx0 every single day they do this.

And their valet guys are telling people these are valet spots, not public parking which is not true. There is no official city signage stating that this isn’t normal street parking.

Since the city won't fix it, maybe we should start a bike club & get together Fridays & Saturdays just to ride around the block, in the bike lane (regardless of what is there), until they fix the problem.

If allowing valet parking is so important to the city, then the city shouldn't have a problem re-striping the road to accommodate both the bike lane, and valet needs.

Hopefully no one gets the bright idea to steal these!!!

With the Tesla hanging out on the sidewalk, not only are they being inconsiderate to the residents, they are also violating public right-of-way accessibility requirements (PROWAG). This establishment & valet service has carried nothing but an entitled attitude. I hope this doesn’t set the precedence for what new businesses in the city can get away with.

This might sound a bit hyperbolic but one solution is to call DPD or WSPD. This is a safety hazard to walkers, riders, and other motorists. As such, if Mad Nice valet is causing these safety hazards then the police and/or parking endorsement should be issuing them tickets .
