This is the same situation at State and Willet. There is a sheet of ice over the crosswalk because the city pushes the snow on to the sidewalk in big mounds and when it melts and then refreezes at night it creates ice sheets. As this is a problem the city created, if someone slips, I'm sure they would have a good negligence lawsuit. Knowing the city, they would just settle for a few million at the taxpayers expense.
