The intersection of Green Village Road and Wilmer St. needs to have an improved signal for Pedestrian Crossing. Ambulance lights, or something big and bright. The speed at which the vehicles are traveling down to River Road is out of control. While I wait for my child to be dismissed at SVMS, I have sat and watched for months near miss accidents, way too many close calls, because drivers are not prepared in the middle of the road for a crosswalk. Other towns have blinking lights, SLOW displayed on the road in big letters. The crossing guard must say a Hail Mary before he crosses anyone. Please find any available funding from whatever budget you can to address this immediately. It is such a risk. Too many little kids at risk. The drivers can't stop in time to see the crossing guard, sometimes they just drive around him.
