It is now Sept 30th and the jackhammering continues....starting at 7AM and continuing all day. WHEN will it end??
Don't the nearby resident have any right to peaceful enjoyment of their homes?
Does a permit entitle them to continue this indefinitely?

No one can say how long the jackhammering will go on? Can the city reveal who applied for the permit? Who is the contractor? The property management company (Cushman Wakefield) said the work is scheduled to continue until the end of November!! WHEN will the demo end? It can't all be jackhammering!

Service Request number 476305 has been closed/completed. The Property Standards/Maintenance Inspector explained the situation to resident.

I'd like to know (STILL) when the demo part of the repairs (I.e. The continuing constant jack hammering) will end!!
Having someone tell me that all their permits are in order is *not* what o asked!

On 09.23.14, Chris Booker, Property Maintenance Inspector, emailed you the following: "City of Evanston Building Department has made contact with the contractor doing the job at 1560 Sherman (Allied Water proofing 630-654-9700). The scope of work is repair to 4th floor parking level in the garage; the job is currently in phase 1 of 2 phases. Phase 1 is still in progress with demolition of the first phase (jack hammering) being complete by the end of this week. Phase 1 shall come to a conclusion by the end of next week which will be re-pouring of the concrete removed; this portion should be a lot less disruptive to neighboring properties with noise at a minimum outside of building walls. The following week (3 weeks from now) phase 2 will begin which we are told will be another 2 weeks of demolition (jack hammering) with re-pouring to follow."
