All up and down Shackleford Rd between 430 and Kanis there are all sorts of potholes. These potholes are primarily on the right lane of the southbound side of the street and have been there for several years now with no repairs done to them. It makes it kind of hard to drive through there because your car is bouncing around so much. And you can't really go around them without going into the left southbound lane. I am sure they have caused many cars to need alignments prematurely. This whole stretch of road could really use a good resurfacing instead of just patching them.

Now that the southbound on-ramp onto 430 at Hermitage is going to be closed for well over a year, this stretch of Shackleford from Kanis all the way to 430 needs to be resurfaced DESPERATELY!!
This stretch of road is going to see a doubling (at least) of traffic along it until this other on-ramp is re-opened. This stretch of road is already horribly rough all along the western southbound lane. It is going to do nothing but get worse and worse as the traffic on it dramatically increases.
The last time I saw people attempting to "repair" it, it was just guys in a truck pouring little areas of asphalt into the holes and heating it up. It was a half-assed repair job to say the least because within a week, some of the holes were back because the crappy patch job didn't do a bit of good.
This entire stretch needs a COMPLETE resurfacing to fix the problem correctly. I suggest doing this ASAP to keep it from getting worse and causing more damage to tax-payer vehicles.
