Streets are supposed to be sweep the first Thursday of the month during Fall/Winter in this area. Streets have not been swept, tons of leaves everywhere.

Good Morning, The work to repave and create calming structures is ongoing on S. McDonough. I live at 946 S. McDonough. I noticed that, after they lifted the old asphalt and began applying the new asphalt, they had cracked my driveway in two places. This was on February 13 and 14, 2024. I noticed it on February 14, and took these photos. I have additional photos but this system only allows one photo, so I uploaded the broader photo. The corner of both are now broken, with the northern corner of the driveway having a substantial triangle completely broken off, and the other corner having some damage. While I appreciate the repaving, I'm concerned that at the end of the project there will be no repairs of the parts of the street that they left damaged, like mine. I'd like this to be a formal claim for some sort of repair, either by the contractor or the city. I'm available for any questions or the additional photos. Jon Smibert 404-717-2983.

All of Agnes Scott employees now parking on Ansley, rather than the parking deck they built in the neighborhood. Street is not wide enough to accommodate and a danger to walking middle school students

Illegally parked cars from the Frends meeting house. Two of them on Howard beyond the allotted spaces right up to the intersection at Lansdowne. Three cars parked within the striped off curb indicating no parking on Lansdowne. This is an ongoing issue and has been reported many times, and nothing has ever done about this from city of Decatur police.

This sign needs to be moved further south on Sycamore to where street parking is allowed (where the sign on the other side of the driveway is located), and a "no parking sign" needs to be put here. This is a simple fix that would take about ten minutes. As it is now, it is confusing, and someone parks in front of this sign (which is a no-parking zone) every day, making it difficult to make left turns from Ridgeland Avenue. It would be great for the curb to also be painted red. Please fix the problem before there is an accident, for which I suspect the city would be held liable since neighbors have been asking you to fix this since at least 2016.

Wow, two weeks later and the city has yet to do anything about this. With Agnes Scott Softball games and youth baseball about to start up, you would think the city would want visitors and residents to not think Oakhurst is a dump when coming to visit the park.
