City of Huntsville PLUS

This home has been under construction for more than 3 years. It doesn't seem safe and I'm curious if their permits are still even valid.

At night, there is an area of the neighborhood where there is no light, there is no visibility there and it is a concern. A potential unknown or dangerous person, vehicle, animal, etc. could be in this part of the street and be hidden from sight due to the lack of light. Me and the neighbors that are affected by this would like to request that a street light be placed at its location. There is one street light near the circle at the end of the road that I think would work perfectly. The height of it would fit well under the tree branches extending outward, similar to the other street light. It provides light to the road but not necessarily into the homes. I would like to add to the request a preference that it not be too bright, and that it simply serve the purpose of providing visibility to the road for safety concerns as we have had several concerning situations and unlawful activity happen on this street and around the specific area. The location of the requested light is located directly across from the driveway at 2407 Basin St. SE, Huntsville, AL, where the tree is.

Builder/owner of newly constructed home at 122 Railway Lane needs to remove the wood pallet they dumped on the lot at 121 Railway Lane.

This has been like this for 1 year. Can you please help?
The owners moved in and have not completed this work.

3 weeks ago utility crews took down this pole but did not remove it. It's been sitting in the yard of 105 Mountainwood Dr.

A landscaping company has been working on cutting a tree down at the house on the corner of Cambridge and Wells and has left all of the tree trunk, branches, etc. in the road at the intersection. It is very dangerous and needs to be hauled away (likely by the company that did the work, as the pieces are too big for city collection) because it forces cars turning onto Cambridge from Wells into the wrong lane, and traffic driving north on Cambridge towards Wells can’t see them coming because the detritus is in the way, blocking their view of cars coming from Wells. This is a major hazard and should be dealt with quickly. Thank you.

Is it not possible for the crews working debris removal to avoid gouging up my lawn every time? The material is usually placed in bags, so I don't know why they have to lower the claw to ground level to pick up them up, taking a layer of grass and dirt with them. This happens week after week, and that portion of the lawn is permanently scarred.

this is more of a street cleaning issue. but I did not see a category for it. the claw truck when it came last week spilled a bunch of oil or hydraulic fluid or something that is on the asphalt in the cul-de-sac. tried using a hose to get it up and the rain did not clear it either. can some sort of street sweeping be done to help get it up. there is also quite a bit of mud on the street from recent construction. though the rain has helped with that some.

Yard trash that was set out on Tuesday was not picked up on Wednesday’s regular pick up day. Please pick up if possible.

Tree fell across road 9 days ago. Debris is still on both sides of Shades Rd in yards which didn’t own the tree.
