King County Parks PLUS

There are two parking lots on this site with zero disabled parking places. I would like to see how this is being addressed.

There has been a car in this swampy area for multiple years now (at least 5 ). It is about 40/50 ft off of Auburn Black Diamond Road up against a tree and mostly submerged in the water. It is rusty and it should be more visible now that it is winter. Hopefully this is the appropriate place to report, I am not sure if the city is aware of this incident already. I have been unable to get a photo from the road.

Not sure if this is City of Maple Valley, MV Community Center or King County responsibility. In ground bees nest next to the handrail about 8 steps down on the steps leading from the community center to the trail. These stairs are used regularly by the senior walking group at the community center and others from MV to access the trail. I have contacted both of the above agencies and have been told by one that they are not responsible and they can't spray for bees in the woods. This is not in the woods. The bees need to be taken care of or the stairs need to be blocked for access so that we are not continually stung like I was today and another lady and her dog last week in our group.

There is a shovel leaning against a tree that may have been left behind by trail workers. It is between the Woodside Trail and 174th Ave SE, near the center of this trail section of Spring Lake / Lake Desire in the McGarvey Park trail system.

The cottage lake dock has a large hole…which could cause serious injury to someone.

The main trail from the suspension bridge up to what's called "Mossy Mtn Way" on the map needs some grade reversals or rolling grade dips added for better drainage, sustainability and user experience. The steep grade and failing water bars are causing erosion. Much of the mineral soil has washed off the trail so that the tread is down to loose rock in spots.
