  • 385 Washington Street Hartford, Connecticut - Barry Square
The traffic light at the IOL gate on Washington St. has always been activated by either a car exiting or by activating the walk signal. Since recent work has been done at the IOL entrance, the light is more often red than green (on Washington Street), even when there are neither cars leaving the IOL nor pedestrians nearby. This is causing unnecessary back-ups, motorists just driving through the red light, and rush hour annoyance! Much gratitude if this can revert to the former unbroken system!
  • 461 Washington St Hartford, Connecticut - Barry Square
All four corners have a no turn on red sign, no one pays attention to them and they turn the corner without stopping even when the walk lights are on. Have seen several elderly people who live at the elderly complex almost get hit.
  • Prospect And Bob Steele Streets Hartford, CT - Downtown

Now that the street between Tower Square and the Atheneum is closed for construction, the light at Prospect and Steele has a timing issue. Very little traffic is coming through at points, but the left turn lane stays red... And stays. (And stays.) Many people just turn left illegally, while others who observe the light get honked at. (And honked at).

Can the red light duration for the left lane be shortened for the next year of construction?

  • 41 Lewis Street Hartford, CT 06103, USA - Downtown
The "Yield to Pedestrian" sign that was posted in the roadway was destroyed in a motor vehicle a few weekends. There needs to be a sign in this roadway because numerous pedestrians cross this road daily and many motorists forget they are suppose to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk. Very hazardous to pedestrian travel!!!

  • 2-40 Union Place Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
At the corner of Union Place and Allyn Street a new sidewalk was installed. They removed the handicap ramp from the sidewalk and replace it with a 6 inch drop off. Not sure if the ramp was removed on purpose or installed wrong but it needs to be corrected asap. People with disabilities, the elderly and mothers with strollers can not use this sidewalk as is.
