  • 6045 Jewell Street Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
I understand that there's construction going on here, so it won't be perfect. However, something needs to be done about the cars on Jewell going through the intersection on red lights. It's not a right on red, it's a straight on red and I'm pretty sure the whole point of red lights is not to do that. The intersection is difficult enough without cars going through the light trying to run you over when you're exiting the park. Maybe a sign that instructs people to stop? A no turn on red sign? I don't totally know the solution, but I'm also not the traffic engineer who ok'd this death trap.
  • New Britain Ave And Fairfield Avenue Hartford, Connecticut - Behind The Rocks

This busy, dangerous intersection with limited visibility in some directions should have a dedicated pedestrian-only signal phase like many other busy intersections in the city. This is a heavily walked area and is a key point of connection bewteen the South West, Behind the Rocks, Barry Square, and Trinity College neighborhoods, not to mention between Hyland and Rocky Ridge Parks.

It is incredibly challenging and scary to cross at this intersection. Just today I crossed with the light and had aggravated drivers rushing me across.

  • Asylum And Ford Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
No right on red made sense before the HIgh Street one-way changed direction. It doesn't make sense anymore. The red light at Union Place and Asylum is extremely long, then after going left onto Aslyum, that light turns red with "no turn on red" signs. With the change in one-ways, there is no traffic coming from ANY direction to make turning red dangerous. Especially at 6 a.m. Please consider changing signage that has been made obsolete by traffic pattern changes!
  • N Chapel St Churchs St Downtown Traffice Lanes Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
Lane turning signs need to be updated since adding new lane of traffic in this area and surrounding downtown loactions., train station etc. Traffic has changed and signs need to eb updaed to indicate which lanes can turns, go straight etc
  • 331-335 Trumbull Street Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
Walk/Don't walk light on SW corner is bent to where it faces the wrong direction, making it very difficult for pedestrians to know when to cross Chapel street safely.
  • Hartford Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
Traffic lights in the city are dysfunctional causing serious safety issues throughout the city. Traffic, bikers and pedestrians ignore traffic lights causing unsafe conditions at most intersections in the city.
  • 575-597 Asylum Avenue Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
The Walk Sign is not facing in a direction that pedestrians crossing at the crosswalk can easily see. There is already a long, long wait to get that signal...no need to make us wait even longer by missing what is our green light.
  • 2-58 Main St Hartford, CT 06106, USA - Sheldon Charter Oak
    Wyllys and Wethersfield
  • Sisson Avenue & West Boulevard Hartford, CT, USA - West End
The light at the 84 exit ramp is really short - less than 20 seconds. Traffic is backing up.
  • 450 Capitol Avenue Hartford, CT 06106, USA - Frog Hollow
Yellow light not working on the left side driving from west to east
  • 3-39 Commerce Street Hartford, Connecticut - Sheldon Charter Oak
Traffic light on Commerce and Sheldon (coming out rear of CT Convention Center turning onto I-91) does not function correctly. The left turn signal did not engage for 15+ minutes, leading multiple motorists to run red light.
  • 160 Market Street Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
Please consider increasing the time that Morgan Street (both directions) has a green light at Market St. and Main St. Morgan St. commonly backs up during rush hour, while Main St. and Market St. are commonly clear. This leaves intersections unused while Morgan St. drivers are waiting.
Morgan St. Eastbound at Market St. is especially bad, and causes intersection blockage at the Main St. intersection.
Morgan St. Westbound at Main St. is also bad.
